On Friday, Ayodele Fayose said that the PDP in Ekiti State and across the country are dead. He said he believes that if a person votes for his party, their hearts and minds are forever changed. This was after Fayose stated on a Channels TV programme on Friday that the PDP in Ekiti State and across the country is dead, has lost its soul, and will never win any future elections. After Fayose made public several times that he has been in favor of winning elections, some observers asked what his views are on this matter. In one interview on September 12, Fayose stated that the PDP in Ekiti State and across the country is dead, has lost its soul, and will never win any future elections. But, despite his statements, he stated that if he dies, “he will be gone.” His remarks were condemned by others as being insulting. So much so that leaders demanded that they stop applauding him.
